The other half of the coin
Friday Morning Club was founded in Los Angeles on a simple observation: the people doing the most important creative and educational work are rarely the people with time to run the business behind it.
So that is the half we take. Our team comes from brand, commerce, and growth leadership, and we point that experience at artists, educators, and the organizations that champion them. The creators bring the craft. We bring the business, the admin, and the growth engine behind it.
The name
The name honors one of Los Angeles's original salons, where conversation was treated as civic work. We think it still is. The Club carries that tradition forward: gather good people, share the work, and let the conversation compound.
Our mantra
Vincula in claves. Chains into keys. The tools that usually serve the market, growth, operations, business development, can be turned to free the people the market overlooks. It is an old idea. Augustine called it the gold of the Egyptians: treasure carried out of captivity and put to better work. We take what commerce taught us and hand it to the people doing the work that matters.
How we work
We run the business side so the work keeps moving: growth strategy, back office, donor receipts, reporting, and the admin that eats an executive director’s week. You do more of the “what.” We handle the “how.” For arts, education, and community nonprofits hit by funding cuts, the support comes at no cost, and qualifying organizations can operate under our 501(c)(3) through fiscal sponsorship.

Friday Morning Club is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN 35-2897495, incorporated in California and governed by a volunteer board of directors.
